Mediterranea 18 - Young artists biennale

Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale is the 18° edition of the Biennale of young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean.
An event organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania, promoted by BJCEM, in collaboration with the cities of Tirana, Durres and Regione Puglia.

230 visual artists, directors, writers, architects, actors, musicians and designers from 18 to 35 years old have been selected in the fields of visual arts, applied arts, film, music, performance and literary creation. The artists were invited to present their projects focusing on the theme "HOME", elaborated by the Artistic Director Driant Zeneli, who articulated it in four elements: History+Conflict+Dream+Failure=Home. Mediterranea 18 curators are: Applied Arts: Jonida Turani; Visual Arts: Maja Ćirić; Performance: Ema Andrea; Literary; Creation: ALA Group/Maria Rosa Sossai; Music: Alban Nimani&Rubin Beqo/Tulla Center; Film: Eroll Bilibani/Dokufest.

Tirana and Durrës will be peacefully occupied for six days by the creative power of the most interesting under-35 Euro-Mediterranean artists. 6 days of exhibitions, concerts, performances, readings, films, workshops and much more.

Opening May 4 at 18:00 at Parku Rinia All main exhibition venues (National Historical Museum, National Gallery of Arts, Former Embassy of Yugoslavia, Youth Center, House of Leaves) will be open from 18:30. The exhibitions will be open to the public until May 28th, 2017.
